Maybe replace them with the current stars we've got and create new ranks? I unno they seem pretty nice.

I agree, the current stars do need replacing. Maybe have the VIP-style userpips with a star inside it and "level x" in words next to it? They'd match nicely then.
Obviously I'm no artist and using paint that's sort of the best I can come up with, but that's the idea.
