You could always buy steel bars, make cannonballs out of them and make a profit. But that's boring aswell.

But with farming an unlimited amount of people can use a patch, while with a ore rock only 1 person can get 1 ore out of it

I've bought steel bars recently for 600 each, bought 2k, made 400k out of it. (4 cannon balls per bar, 200gp per ball)
