Well, when I go to the gym I often see some pretty big guys with huge muscles and what they do is start on a light set of dumbells, and do about 15 bicep curls. Then they go up onto a heavier set and do about 12 bicep curl reps. Then they get heavier and do a lower amount of bicep curl reps.
I do this routine with most workout routines including the chest muscles and back muscles, as well as the triceps.
It's called a warm up then they push them selfs to go as heavy as they can and when there musles are pumped it is the best time to work at it but if you use to much wieght you will pop a musle literly and it will hurt so much you will take alot of asprin. So they start to go lighter and lighter until there arms feel like a rock or a block of wood. I hate that feeling In the legs or arms it kills.
