Green Day is punk, greenday isnt. (Green Day is what you say when youre talking about their old stuff, back in the day when Green and Day were two different words, greenday is what everyone calls the new stuff for some reason). Their old stuff without a doubt, was punk. If you say it isnt, youre just stubborn.

Linkin Park would be classed as Rock in HMV probally, but really it's Rap Metal [it's a real genre ^^]

There not, there Nu Metal, but not Heavy Metal, TBH, Green Day's old stuff's well better than there new stuff.
