Didn't Habbo say they use different hotels to BETA test updates etc? Like the french hotel tested out Version 9.

Habbo Hotel UK is the main English Hotel, with more Habbos I believe, and most people used it way before the US/CA/AU/SG came about. The Finland Hotel is the first Hotel and the main hotel for strange features and more furniture. Like the posters that were never released here at the UK.

America don't own Habbo, although when they opened they made it look like they did :rolleyes: All the new furniture is made, in Finland. All the new designs and updates are made, in Finland. What on Earth made you think America is the main hotel?

i mean that a americain testing ground where they test bombs in real is like the finland hotel a testing ground for the good and the bad.

Plus i went on there and it is really laggy!

Sulake could be planning to install it in order of when the Hotels were made, Finland was the First Hotel and I think UK was the second Hotel.

Nope, Daisy was the head of "Habbo Ltd." The UK Hotel opened in January 2001, whereas Hotelli Kultakala (the Finnish Hotel) opened in August 2000. Habbo Hotel was developed with Sulake Labs, and Daisy eventually sold her share of the company Habbo Ltd. off when she profited.

Sulake (Finnish for fuse) is a multimedia company based in Helsinki, Finland. It was founded by Sampo Karjalainen and Aapo Kyrölä in 2000.
The company's first project, Mobiles Disco, was intended to promote a rock band called Mobiles. The site's popularity made Karjalainen and Kyrölä wonder about possibilities for financial success.
They sold the idea to the Finnish telecom giant Elisa Oyj through the advertising agency Taivas. Hotelli Kultakala (Hotel Goldfish) was launched in August 2000 as part of Elisa's portal. The Sulake company now provides Habbo Hotel in 19 countries.

Dee Edwards (aka Daisy) sold her share of the registered company "Habbo Ltd." to Sulake, IIRC. It's worth noting that the Habbo client was developed on a Fuse platform, and hence the name Sulake.

To be honest, I am not 100% sure of the series of events. I don't know, but there is some mastermind on here who knows everything about Habbo History, and they might shed some light. However, if I understand correctly - Dee Edwards founded the company Habbo Ltd., which was based around the Hotel the two Finnish d00ds had created. She then profited, and sold the company on for (I think you are right) £1 million to Sulake.

Anywhooooo... things can't just be tested on the UK Hotel because it is the Hotel with the largest population and peak usage. If something is going to go wrong, it would be most obvious on the UK Hotel, because there would be more people to react to it. Don't worry, I would think we are 2nd or 3rd in line. Methinks (as a guess) we'll have it within a month.

Edit: Actually, I found a pretty extensive site. Google "History of Habbo" and the first up is a Tripod site. The degree of validity could be questioned, but it is convincing enough. Plus, my memory is a tad stretched.
