It's a known fact that consoles sell most during the holidays. Europe is one of Sony's strongest gaming markets. Sony is not launching the PS3 in Europe this year, therefore, it will face a giant loss in market share these coming holidays.
Parents looking for a PS3 for their child on Christmas will instead buy them a 360 or a Wii. This is why a simple date change can cause massive, uh, damage.

lol. The Wii will sell millions upon millions becuase the nintendo DS outsold the PSP becuase people in china and japan prefer new technology such as the DS touch screen. and the Wii is much cheaper.
