I'm a christian so I guess if I was traditional I'd be against abortion but I think it should be allowed if the baby wouldn't live a good life. I mean if they were deformed or had a bad handicap that would really bodge their life up bad. But if it's some erm ... slot? (replace o with u...) who's slept around and wants to abort their baby then they're just completelty selfish...

They can a) Give birth to the baby and try and raise it as well as possible
    b) Put the baby for adoption so it can goto a loving home

The sperm by itself and the egg by itself isn't a baby, but at the moment of conception it starts to form. I don't think it matters how far along it is at conception, eventually it would form into a baby and that's what matters.

You're taking what I said to the extreme. It doesn't matter to me how alive or not alive the baby is at conception it's the fact that it will eventually become a child. You think of it as a useless cell, I think of it as a human being with rights.

I realize I wouldn't be getting pregnant and it us ultimately the woman's choice, as I already mentioned, but if that's my child I'd do everything I could to stop it from being killed. I'm sorry if you feel that they're not a person, but my faith has taught me to believe they are, and I strongly agree with it.

Most the time maybe, but its not a garentee anture aint perfect "/
Plus since we can fetalise an egg without even needing a sperm nowdays, thats also got just as much potenatal to form a baby, the genetic data in every sperm also has equal potential, Every other possible baby dies on the way under your idea. one out of billions possible.

Well since we can exstract the same cells (exsactly the same ones) from every animal on the planet, do they also count as human beings with rights? ill be sure to tell the ****roachs that... Without dna to drive the cells what the can become is indetermiate, u could grow it in to an ear, or just a random organ, hell you could regrow a spine with it (its been done).
A stem cell has a very wide range of possibltys, at this time it could quite easly be ANYTHING.

Faith and belife are irrelivant, you can belive the world is flat and that a fetus is a human being, yet in reality both remain untrue "/ althogh its your life feel free to delude yourself and refuse to accept the reality presented to you.

My idea? You're putting words in my mouth. I never said that every single sperm that doesn't make a baby and dies is murder, all i care about is when they join together to create the child. I understand that sperm and eggs are wasted before they actually create a child, but I don't consider that murder, I consider it murder when they create the cell and someone destroys it.

I get what you're saying, but the cell growing in the woman isn't going to grow into just an ear or a random organ, it's going to form a human being, there's a difference.

You saying you think the fetus isn't a human being and me saying it is is the same thing, we both have different views on them. I don't think it's untrue but that's my opinion, and I don't think you should bash it just because you don't believe it.

Exactly. That's what pro-choice runs on. If you dont believe it, dont have an abortion, simple as that. Dont bash it just because you dont believe in it.

To entor, Yes it's possible to create a child without the sperm but a few generations down our whole society would be wiped out by disease as without the sperm cell with it's vital information we'd be susceptable to many harmfull things that we were immune to before.

men murder a few million every time they jack off
Lock me up, I'm a mass murderer.

Completely agree with Mister Mentor, it's not a true living being until it can think for itself, which as I said previously is about 7 weeks after conception. If you think it's alive because of its potential then consider condoms, the Pill, all other contraceptive methods and even abstinence as being murder. Abortion is just a late way of preventing a birth.

    Off topic:
As for the foetus having "rights", I don't believe in rights. Any right you can think of infringes on someone elses rights, so they don't work, eg: the right to equal opportunities infringes on an employer's right to be racist/sexist/ageist.

Does anyone else find it ironic when people bomb abortion clinics?

The excuses for people who kill abortion doctors are usually like "I killed one person to save many", not realising that if we get rid of certified doctors then women will go to some alleyway for a coathanger up her.
