Ooh, hard man drug dealer. Don't stab me.

The problem is that you're a single person out of millions and your single first-hand experience has no impact whatsoever on what the laws say. The problem is that out all the thousands of drug users, the majority do have violent episodes and it often ends in bloodshed, and more than often it affects a family both physically and emotionally.
So, let's not be egotistical now- no one cares what you did or didn't do after consuming drugs because, honestly, you're not important enough.
Alcohol and tobacco are at least as harmful as other drugs, tobacco certainly would be a class A or B drug if it were illegal, however these two are legal for a couple of reasons:
* They've been in regular use for so long that it would be too difficult to illegalise them.
* They have high tax rates on them, and so make the government a lot of money.
Nonetheless, that doesn't mean that the drugs that are illegal already should be legalised, that would help nothing. Recreational drug use may not have effects in the short term, but they can become addictive and once your body builds a tolerance to a certain drug you have to go one step higher, and it builds up.
I don't do drugs. Never have, never will. I don't think they should be banned, but made illegal in all countries. Banning something never works.
Drugs are banned/illegal, for peoples saftey. Everyone will react differently to certain drugs than others.. therefore, banning them completely means no chances are taken. However, to anyone stupid enough to wanna do drugs.. and i mean.. hard stuff, no amount off warning will ever change that, as it's down to ignorance. Yes smoking and drinking is bad, that's why we have age limits, and by the time you've reached these age limits, your body is more developed, but they don't say "go out and smoke now.. or go drink"..
If they had side affects like drugs, they would be banned to, fact is they don't..![]()
