Smoking at school

Well I smoke and I wish people wouldnt be so stereotypical. I dont act 'hard' because I do it, nor do I do it to get cool friends. I do it to calm me down when I feel stressed.

Anyway, at my old school, most people smoked and teachers didnt do much as nobody listened to them. But at College now it is ace as there is a designated area for smokers and its usually full of the tutors

k, first things first. I hate smoking never tried, never will.

Right, theres a bunch of people at my school who go in the courner of the field every lunch and start smoking. The teachers all know cause they walk up to them and then they see 20+ people scattering everywhere from one place. A number of teachers while walking up to them passing me have said 'you watch they will all move when they see me'

Surley this can be a reason to expell them if not suspend them for a week or two? But they dont do anything so they just carry on smoking. It annoys me. Any views on this? Comment.

I agree, Up in Scotland they inforced a smoking ban so pupils aswell as teacher couldn't smoke at School. Well on the School grounds. The smoking ban in Scotland is for all Public Places I.E Pubs, Clubs, Schools ect..

haha smoking in legal at 16 in Canada perchasing age is 19 but legally ur aloud to smoke at 16. Teachers in my skool do nothing because truthfully there is nothing they can do...

Ah, Well I don't really know, because this happens in our school. People go near a tree, where no-one can see them, and if you go over there it stinks. Best thing to do is tell the head.

It's amazing how the genoration of under 18-year-olds in England/Scotland are so Anti-Smoking - your brains really have been menipulated by all the anti-smoking campanes - oh well. Suicide rate will rise but lung cancer will drop :rolleyes:

Headmaster said to me can you come to my office 5 minutes before the bell at diner.. Fine, I did.

Then he starts babling on about me bringing duty free back in the country, erm like thats anything to do with him?

Then he starts saying if I ever bring cigs into school again im getting suspended for 5 days.. OUT OF ORDER???

In my school, you can smoke as long as you aren't caught red-handed. The teachers don't really care, they all know I smoke. I've gone into school stoned so many times aswell, I'm in high sets. Also, nobody I know thinks they're hard by smoking, maybe the little years 7's and 8's, but who cares about them?

you cant stop a person smoking no matter how hard you think your trying in the end a detention can be evaded or can ignore teachers, i smoke myself and dont think anything is wrong.
