Well, just wait until he asks you out - if he does. There's no point you bringing it up before him. Then once he does, just say to him you think you'd rather just stay as friends. Explain to him that you love things the way they are and don't want your friendship to be effected. If he doesn't understand then that's his loss, but don't like keep bringing it up or hold it against him or anything. Just try and keep things going on like normal and be there as a friend for him.
