I pretty much agree with you. However, I feel the need to justify my actions.
In the other thread, the answer had been posted numerous times. Any person who reads the thread would find the answer regardless. N!ckG was aware from reading the thread the time the rare was coming out on Monday. However, I quote "Have i missed something :s Has it been confirmed as 13:30?" I would rather people not know the answer at all, or know how to get the answer. I did have a spoiler warning on my post, but edited out after realising how pointless it was - the answer was already posted, so my post wouldn't affect a lot of people. I would prefer people know how to work the clues, so they can identify the next time alone. (Labour uses the principle "a hand up, not a hand out" - same principle here.)
Let's be realistic: I cannot see the rare being in the catalogue for less than an hour (although I could be wrong). People are already spamming over console the time and date of the dragon release, and what about 13:30 tomorrow? The majority of people in the Hotel tomorrow will be aware the dragon is in the catalogue. I worked out the clues (after having 13:30 being messaged time and time again over my console, may I add), but I'm not going to be buying any of them.
Unfortunately, very few people can keep secrets - and the same holds true for quests/clues. Please do not mistake me for one who likes to give the answers away.On the contrary - I would prefer answers kept secret. It is a forum though, and people will want to blurt things out. I am not justifying it, just giving some reasoning.
