I don't actually know mate. I have slimline so I hope that is the case tbh.
But I also heard that you can get other network adapters unofficial for the slimline but you can't for the bulky ps2 you need the official one.
If I find a ethernet cable around the house I'll give it a go.

Omg, don't buy a network adapter if you have a slimline! Try and connect it straight to the hub to the back of the slimline. Don't wanna waste your money on something you don't need.

hmm I didn't realise my dad brought the router downstairs and done it up with his computer and everything ;/ if it was upstairs
I could take out the cable and try it now.

Edit - I'm gonna spend the money on a Max Drive instead so I can transfer stuff from my PC to my PS2 :8

When you have a slim line the adaptor is all built in but when you buy it properly you get a CD you put in the playstation to set up the ethernet, you need the CD to set it up so you can save your network config onto your memory card, you can't do anything unless you have your own playstions network config saved to a memory card

No the CD sorta installs stuff onto your memory card but you have to enter your PS2 serial code and stuff to stop people sharing devices, the CD can't be used by multiple people either, very hard to get by it, only way is to buy the CD or a new adaptor and flog that on eBay or something, I got mine from PC world a while back for like £15-£20
