Dads... why bother?

My dad treats me like a big mistake that can be got rid of with money. I don't have a dad as far as im concernd anymore.

Maybe theres other reasons why he hates his dad but doesn't want to post them? Think before you post..And you really need to stop calling people immature(People can take this as an insult and being a mod you shud know better)..And saying there mature in a sarcastic way..

i just plain and simple dislike my dad for things he has done in the past.

funny how people seem ot fall out with their dad more than their mum.

I'm like that with my mum, if she died it wouldn't affect me one bit. I can say that sincerely from how i feel right now. When my mum and dad split up at one point my dad had to MAKE me and my brother see her. Now we plainly don't see her, and my dad and her are going through the courts. GRRR i'm so angry I HATE THE COW! :@

As for Dad's, i love my dad. He is like a dad but still a good friend. I've lived with him for about 6 year's and even though we do argue, i love him of course.

Ok so basically Im gonna start with this "I hate my father"

I had my iPod on OK and I couldn't hear my mum shouting me, so my dad comes upstairs and bangs on my door and says "Your mums been shouting your name for the past 5 minutes and don't act like you can't hear her" I frickin couldn't!!!

So to take my anger out I smacked the wall repeatedly until my fathers head dissapeared from my mind. I then went downstairs and told him where to go and that my hatred for him will never stop. So he throws his bowl of frickin muesli at me!

Now I'm going to have a huge black mark on my face when I hand my CV in to various shops/garages at Traff Centre!

Anybody else feel their father is like your landlord and not a guy who'll take you to the football games or talk to you about cars and girls? Or for the girls d'you feel he's not bothered about you coming in late from a party or stuff like that?

Sometimes parents make mistakes, if you were to calmly point out you had your headphones in instead of being violent to a wall [Urmm whats the point in that?] and being angry at him then he might have apologised and the matter would have been over. But because you couldn't deal with the situation civily and you lost your temper then you pretty much deserved that muesli.


Anyway - My Dad although he's not perfect [no dads are "/] he is still an awesome dad who I can joke around with and talk about serious matters, sometimes he is just like 'one of the lads' and pretty much gives me loads of advice and is totally cool with things that may be a problem with other families, what a bloke my Dad is!

Your all pretty lucky. Ive seen my dad Three times in my whole life. Thats it. He left my family when i was 2 and Ive grown up with only a mother. Shes the best ever as well. But unfortantly im not manly anymore, No father growing up does that to you, Instead of a fatherly "birds and the bees" talk i got a book saying "always use a condom" not a fault on my mom at all. If i lost her Hell i dont know who i could turn to besides my grandfather.

I get on OK with both my Parents but I do have petty arguements with them as you do I suppose. :rolleyes:
