    Default Starvation Period?

My mate said he wants to lose some weight so hes going to have a 2 week starvation period I've tried to explain to him its stupid and can damage his health but he won't listen. Is this a early sign of him turning anorexic?

I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

i doubt its a sign on anorexic. but some kind of eating disorder yes.

Very few people acctually manage doing it...

    I can, mainly because:
    1.) I don't get hungry
2.) I smoke too much crap witch also makes you feel full.

I would say leave them to try and if they do manage it THEN try and stop them ;]

It's not a sign of him becoming anorexic, but, if he does do it, he might even carry on doing it, and then it could lead to that.

Just try and talk you friend out of it, because it mean seem like nothing to start with, but it will turn into something serious.

well he better have some water or something....can't live more than 3 days without water!

Um, anyways if hes going to do it talk to his parents about it and maybe his doctor. Show him that u really care about him. He might change his mind, but its his choice and sometimes you can't change someones choice.
Well i hope i helped at least a little.

Lot's of my friends have done it and it really worrys me everytime one of them does and usually leaves me in tears, they will stop soon enough tbh.. They will realise it's not doing them any good, just keep offering them food and stuff, they cave in the end..

I told myself i'd never have a problem with lack of eating but recently it's becoming a problem for me, i've been living off of Tomato Soup, Pot Noodles & Chips for the chippy, it's not purposly, I have reasons.. But it's making me really ill and stuff and that's what your friend will realise soon enough and will start eating it [:

sexy girls come up to me,
and they always come if you know what i mean.

as being anorexic, I doubt it will happen. I originally tried to do that, but it was basically impossible.

He won't lose any weight if he also did it for a long eriod of time, due to the fact of that his body will go into starvation mode.

possible, More likely he will just get fatter and pass out though. Not eating means body goes in to survival mode, aka use less enegey, store as much as possible as fat, hence why diets in 98% of cases DO NOT WORK.

but hell that never stopped anyone before

43% of the statistics used in this post were pulled out of my ***. Although the the diets probably isnt far off, between 80-99.999 - most likley the higher end.
