Turbin is a racist term, at least it is where I come from and what i've heard.

Turban is not a racist term as it's a form of headwear and therefore isn't racist unless used in racist content.

Even urban dictonary doesnt list Turbin, and they list pretty much anything. even a google search failes to return anything other than a few people whom have the surname Turbin.
Ive Personaly never ever heard the word used as a racist term, or in fact used at all, full stop o.0

It is possible that they use it in that manner where he is from. What we will have to do is just take it in the circumstances and trust mods' judgements, and if you feel it is wrong you can appeal it to an admin or smod. You could both be right, so no point getting into an argument over it.

I know, but what I'm saying is it might be racist where he comes from and that's how its racist and there's no point getting hot and bothered at him

Ok is this argument all about someone using the word "turbin" ?

I would have assumed that this was just a mis-spelling of "turban" ?
Miss-spelleing a word is hardly racist so what's the fuss? :s

If I have got the wrong end of the stick then sorry.

To be honest, even if the term is racist where he comes from *which i do doubt* asking what the word means, is still not racist, due to the context it used.
"What the hell is a pom?" is not racist, while "those danm pommy's!" might be racist.

ps. Has anyone else noticed that all the raciest terms for British people are not banned o.0 ? Kinda a reflection of the Race-relation phobia currently confuseing racism and common sence, the so called anti-racist actions "winteenmass" insted only cause conflict between the religuous groups, and split the contary thurther, dispite the fact, Nearly all people from all other religions liveing here baring 1 or 2 fundamentlists have no problem with christmas and even celibrate it "/

As a side note in the case of pom i would have to admit quite a massive streatch of the imagination would be needed in order to find it even remotly offensive as opposed to funny.
