How do you tell your Mum..

that you're gay. I'm in this position, only my close friends know, If i do tell anyone, it would only be my mum, i have a good relationship with her, but i don't think i can tell her, but i think i need to, sooner or later, I'm not sure what her reaction will be, I certainly can't tell my older brother or dad, or anyone else in the family, She'd have to keep it quiet, i think she would, Any ideas?

Sit her down on her own and get everything off your chest. Say you have felt like this for a while but have bottled it up and you feel she is the only one you can tell. I think your brave for doing it, it takes alot of courage. She will be a bit taken aback but I'm sure she will get used to the idea & will support you.

Ah, okay. Umm, i'd tell her at a quiet moment when it seems appropriate, try and make it part of a conversation rather than trying to sit her down and telling her.

Everything helps, also to add:

She says things in joking when im in the car or something, this girl i always bump into, the same one, im like ugh that girl is weird, she's like, in a joking way, you know you want her, i think she fancies you, Upsets me so much lol ;[

All the more reason to talk to her and tell her how you feel. She doesn't realise these comments are upsetting you and until you tell her it will continue.

Oh oh, also, My best friend is gay, and he was going through the same thing untill recently he came in drunk one night and told his mum, and she was fine with it. (He was worried like i am) Also, he told her a while ago about me (his friend) being gay, to test her reaction, and in turn i tried this method with my mum, and she was like: You pick your friends dont ya, a gay guy and a, well, rude word for a girl

So anyway, now im jealous that his mums fine with it. Partly.
Also, she has made comments like "I think i'd get on quite well with a gayboy"

When i said something about my friend, and im mixed with thoughts, im just not sure how she'll react. I was going to tell her at christmas, i don't think i could right now, i don't know, my heads messed with it all. But maybe then i'd spoil christmas, Ahh lol

I would tell her now, then buy christmas she has had time to get used to it. The more you put it off the harder it will get.
