    Default Another day, another kid.

Ok, so let's make a few things clear.

    I'm in year 11, i'm 6'1".

I was walking home with my mate, and this kid rides into the back of my legs, so I turn round and call him a ***** - Ok, so he rides at the side, and then rides into me again - I kicked his bike away from me.

He rides a metre or two and then gets off his bike and walks up to me all big n' 'ard and grabs me, pushing me around saying 'you what' 'you what' 'you *****'. I grab him and shove him against a wall and tell him to stop acting a fool. I held him off for around a minute and pushed him away so he swung for me. I dodged his punch and hit him back in the head.

He runs at me so I grab him and trip him up - some 6th formers come and take him away at this point and someone else from my year comes running down the path and barges into me saying 'what you doin beatin' lil kids up?' - I just said that he 'started' on me.

So me and my mate walk off whilst some 6th formers bad mouth me behind my back. The little kid rides off on his bike and then turns around and says to me 'you don't know who's after you know, the hardest kid in school, my cousin' im just like 'well good for him'.

Ok, well i'm not sure whether this is just an empty threat or not because his cousin is in 6th form. If he hits me in school he'll get kicked out of 6th form - and if he hits me outside of school I shall go to the police.

This kid was in year 7 or 8.

I'm sorry to all who disagree but it doesn't matter how young/small they are - they shouldn't be cheeky twits in the first place. He shouldn't of 'started' if he knows he's going to end up the fool.

I don't care how old they are, they all should be treated the same.

This kid has been 'harrassing' me and my mates for a couple of weeks now and I just had enough basically.

I didn't want to hit him - that's the last thing I wanted to do but he kept on being persistant and swinging and pushing etc and it was the only way really.

My thoughts are that you should have the common sense of a year 11 to walk away from things like this. This could of been easily avoided with the right things said and the right things done.

Fighting just makes things worse. (So you might find out if his threat isn't empty).

    I'm not a violent person.

Because people can wind me up for ages, and its only if they say something that is really out of order and uneeded [SP], then I swing for them.

Like this kid, for instance, he's not even started puberty yet , and he's 14. And small. And when he winds me up, and I run at him and he then legs it for his life. I really hate people like that, they do my head in. They insult you everyday, and when it comes down to it, they run for their lives.

So if you had a child and he was in year 7 and he didn't know what he was doing and hit a year 11 or whatnot, you would encourage the year 11 to 'Let him have it'?

    He shouldn't of 'started'.

    It could've been avoided?

Doubt it - he's persistant shoving, pushing and whatnot wouldn't end, so I ended it for him.

If I were you I'd have hit him too.

    You did the right thing.

12 year olds and stuff think they can get away with murder now.

Yes, they should have, but not everyone does. Someone with an impairment (Disability) and didn't know what they was doing and you 'sorted it out for him', would that be right?

It doesn't matter if they start it or not, sorting it out by hitting the person is never the answer.

Liriel, the child didn't have a disability it was just a cheeky git.

Hitting the person is sometimes the answer as it teaches them not to mess with you again
