when i test for my xbox live connection it keeps failing on the I.P address what their anything i can do to sort this out. A friend told you you could manually type it in but how?

What ISP are you, because if you're AOL it don't work on wireless.

i have same problem as you, i'm waiting until christmas until i get wireless hopefully will be easier then, i'm guessing you're like me and putting the ethernet directly into the xbox, anyway i'm on ntl using a modem and trying to connect straight from that to the xbox, iv'e read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908885 but nothing iv'e tried has worked yet apart from PPPoE setting which i do not have a clue what to do with
