    right what counter strike shall i buy
    counter strike: source

    will that let me just go straight to the multiplayer game?

    I've played source, its good. Buy it, and yes, you can just go to the multiplayer game. You just open it up, choose a server, and go.

    Yes, If you buy it from steam you can play multiplayer. If you wish you can also play against bots.

    Before purchasing, makesure your computer matches the requirements of the game, you need to have good components to run css.

    My computer sucks and I can run nearly every map without game performance effecting lag.
    2.69Ghz Intel Celeron
    1025MB RAM
    80GB HDD
    Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 G card

    So its generally not a problem unless you are one of these people that haven't upgraded your pc in a few years/never.
