Rancid as a whole and Mark Hoppus
Travis Barker and Richie Valens.
j~
Milo Aukerman but mostly Ian MacKaye
who founded the straight edge movement (or as good as did anyway)
who made the best hardcore album ever
who moved onto form Fugazi
the best punk band of all time
then in between all this he'd set up Dischord records, possibly the best record label.
he was in a band called embrace (not that crap indiepop one) and helped invent emo
then when fugazi entered an incredible indie band called the evens with his girlfriend who create such beautiful music that you cant believe it's the same guy who was shouting his head off on minor threat's albums
so every band he's been in he's reinvented himself
and caused revolutions within the punk scene
and taught a generation of kids to live without intoxications
that guy rules!
pete doherty.

because he inspires me musically. and are you honestly saying that all the bands you like are drug/alcohol free, and have no criminal record? the only difference is pete gets followed by the media who have made him a scapegoat.
