What you wear, how you act and who you hang around with is what makes you a chav. Chavs were I live carry knifes with them. My friend called Heather and Charlie were chased by a gang of them at a skate park teasing them that they were going to be stabbed. Obviously, the police got involved and the guy (Jason) got a caution. He has been moved around before due to bad behaviour and his father is in prison. However, his brother is not a chav and I used to be friends with him.

Well chavs are simply better than emos on the pure basis that chavs don't slit their wrists.

And if you wanna give me some aggro saying that "not all emos slit" then the same could be said about the way that chavs are described.

does every single chav in your area carry i knife? i doubt it.
and yeah i know what people judge chavs by, but just because they fall under the stereotype of a chav doesn't mean they aren't a decent person. plenty of my friends are chavs, and christians :/

a few, still isn't the majority, so why describe all chavs like the few who act like idiots?
er imo, "nasty" chavs tend to hang around together, the decent ones would be more likely to avoid them than start knifing people to fit in.

Personally I'm a 'hybrid' of different stereotypes. I wear some chavvy clothes, I wear some 'punk/rocker' clothing, I wear baggy 3/4lengths + a large baseball cap{when my hairs down}. So basically I sorta am part wigger,part new-school punk and part townie.
And I listen to all styles of music, poppunk,punk,metal,rap,hiphop,grime,screamo,dance, trance, everything. So basically I fit 3 stereotypes hah.
