Technically, thats right. They are Rock, and Pop simply stands for Popular, and Metallica are extremely popular. And they REALLY shouldnt define specific genres, that would cause major problems. They should put it into really broad categories like Rock, Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Country, etc. They shouldn't get down to subgenres like Emo and Metal and Indie, because Apple would get many many angry emails a day that say "OMG Fall Out Boy arent emo you idiots!" It would just cause a lot of problems.

yeah, but people like Spud are very tetchy when it comes to genres, plus i just dont like it when music is just said as Rock or Indie. I much prefer to say that i like [for example] Pop-Punk instead or just Rock, makes it alot more specific and people can get a better idea of what music you like listening to
