PS3 has rubbish features, release games stink and it seems to be better used with a HD TV which not everyone has, and anyone that would buy a console because it looks good then see another that looks ugly and not buy it for that reason needs to be shot.

Xbox 360 had rubbish release games also but after a while better ones started coming out and still are e.g. Fable 2 and Halo 3

Nintendo Wii was the console almost everyone said "That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen" only Nintendo Fanboys thought it had potential, now you see it almost everyone that said it'd be rubbish wants one now

To be quite honest the most successful console is the Nintendo Wii because huge amounts of people thought it's fail and be a piece of junk but now everyone has or wants one, people knew the PS3 and 360 were going to be a success because they are new and fresh whereas Nintendo went downhill the day the Nintendo Gamecube came out so people were expect the Wii to do the same because Nintendo went beyond basic gaming and are bringing us more fun and creative ways to experience gaming

My vote is with the Wii


EDIT - Ok I was just reading some of the later posts on the first page noticing people saying Microsoft and Sony have hardware none of the others could imagine, you can say that for any of them
Microsoft - Ability to always stay on top with the xbox being like a PC using basically the same hardware
Sony - Blu-Ray that's all that's so great about the PS3 tbh, it has better graphics than the 360 because it was able to update them while the 360 was out
Nintendo - Wiimote is probably the most advanced piece of gaming equipment to ever be used for a console, don't see this on Playstation or Xbox do you? This is because they probably thought it was stupid, those bars saying about the amount of consoles sold show you how popular Wii really is, 2 million consoles and the Wii came out in like October? That's only 2 months, by the end of the year I would expect that to say something like 8 million+

Not really? The point of this topic is who would advance, and advances are based more on how many are sold than how much money has been made altogether? Money doesn't show how famous they are, it's how many have been sold to make that money?

I voted Nintendo, they started the console trend and others followed. Not to mention they're still around have made new technology each time. PS2 and Xbox 360 are just the same console as their older generations except with a different name and graphics. The PS3 is just a technology disaster, so I need not say more.

no i just mean you can't judge which is best by how many units they've sold.

personally i think they're all good in their own way. if blue ray takes off - the ps3 will be good as it's cheaper than blu-ray players are at the moment. the xbox 360 is and will continue doing well, especially when halo 3 comes out. the wii is good too, innovative new ideas, but when i played it, despite having fun, i couldn't help but feel it would be disappointing if i wasn't with my mates playing it.

Though I love Nintendo and all, don't be stupid. It's obvious that the Wiis graphics aren't good enough for all of the 'Hardcore Gamers' out there but the graphics aren't that horrible that people don't look at it. The graphics are an update to last gen so therefore I'm happy. But the Wiis all about people playing together.

The Playstation 3 is a total joke. If anyones seen the 'Highlights' of Sony at E3 then you know that they sucked, BIG TIME. Did you see that dude trying to land a plane on that game. He was all over the shop.

The Xbox360 is Awesome at online stuff. Game updates and Online play and such. (I hardly know anything about the 360 but my mates have told me about the online play and that)

So yeah, My Views :]

really from the amount of out stocks etc. and prices people are willing to pay on ebay so its really wanted.

Xbox360 is good but Wii gives better idea of gameplay.

Ps3 not being out in UK but i would say both Wii + Xbox360 are better, in my opinion of course ^^

Sony lose alot of money each PS3 sold because of how much the blur-ray is inside. If they sold it for the right price, it would cost over £1000.

Ok, this is how the mighty Sony let us down, how Microsoft became extremly superior and how Nintendo took a very very small slice in it's own little way. Back in E3 2006 Microsoft & Sony battled it out with their demos to determine which console was better, the Xbox 360, or the Playstation 3. Microsofts demo sent a message to gamers saying "hey im better, look what i have" on the other hand Sony sent out a message to gamers saying "Im second best with my toaster looking machine and my banana looking control, go buy xbox 360" Sooner or later Sony realised that Microsoft was highly taking the lead as to who's console was better whilst Nintendo were trying to show off but seem to be in the background of it all, after E3 Sony turned and walked away only to scrap their Toaster 3 & their wireless banana control only to bring back the fine looking slick style everyone dreamt of finding under the crimbo tree, in the shops or wherever you expect to see it. We now await Sony's latest console to really see if Playstation 3 is better than Microsoft's XBOX 360 (wich isnt possible), furthermore the Nintendo Wii hit gamers, falling on peoples heads just two months prior to release. Finally in my opinion i think Microsoft will be the leaders of gaming for a very very very very long time. because it owns

But nintendo own portable gaming. i really like gameboys and the nintendo ds wich is basically and advanced gameboy i dont see why they changed it to nintendo DS when all the portable systems are gameboy. but i like it, i dont like the touch screen and the stylus if you loose it it takes forever to find so.. i dont like the touscreen but xbox own home systems (microsoft will own you)

Up the top the kid goes on about something like the wiimote is the most advance peice of gaming ever. really its not.. if you've ever seen them things that u strap to your arms and legs.. thats it! its just wireless and prgrammed into all the games fgs its nothing special
