Default Microsoft - Nintendo - Sony [The Battle]

Ok, this is how the mighty Sony let us down, how Microsoft became superior and how Nintendo took a slice in it's own little way. Back in E3 2006 Microsoft & Sony battled it out with their demos to determine which console was better, the Xbox 360, or the Playstation 3. Microsofts demo sent a message to gamers saying "hey im better, look what i have" on the other hand Sony sent out a message to gamers saying "Im second best with my toaster looking machine and my banana looking control, go buy xbox 360" Sooner or later Sony realised that Microsoft was highly taking the lead as to who's console was better whilst Nintendo were showing off their nifty features with the Wii, after E3 Sony turned and walked away only to scrap their Toaster 3 & their wireless banana control only to bring back the fine looking slick style everyone dreamt of finding under the crimbo tree, in the shops or wherever you expect to see it. We now await Sony's latest console to really see if Playstation 3 is better than Microsoft's XBOX 360, furthermore the Nintendo Wii hit gamers worldwide selling over 300,000 consoles just two months prior to release. Finally in my opinion i think Microsoft will be the leaders of gaming for a very very long time.

Vote in this threads poll as to which company is better.

It's way too early to judge anything right now. Console dominance is usually determined when consoles have been in the market for 5 years or more, then comparisons in quality, integrity, and support can be made. The reason Microsoft is in the lead right now is because their console was released a year earlier than its competitors, so it would only seem logical that they have the most sales and support for their next-gen console. Also, your figures seem to be a bit off. The Wii has sold substantionally more than 300K units. In fact, Nintendo has already sold well over a million (maybe 2 million) consoles up to date. The PS3 is already here in the US, and it lacks much substance. Very lackluster games are available and PS2 game compatibility isnt really something worth anyone's while. Overall, the 360 has the PS3 pretty much beat. But only time will tell, so it's best that we wait a couple more years to decide a winner, and wait till all these little issues with consoles are amended (hopefully).

In years to come, who knows, but my guess is Microsoft ftw. They seem to have quite a domination now.

It will clearly be Microsoft, they have mastered technologies that Sony and Nintendo have only dreamt of.

microsoft. soz but i didnt read most of the posts, they looked boring. yeah, microsoft are rich as hell, thats why they actually lost about £100 per xbox 360 or something, i cant remember just because they wanted it to be the best =] i think they are making profits now though.

Lmao, sorry for that, but sony wins on technology, and nintendo wins on gameplay. Microsoft wins on being out earlier, so has the current best technology.

EDIT: Harmless, sony lose money on all the consoles they sell, not just microsoft. Nintendo have been a little bit clever, and acctually make a profit on the consoles.

A typical remark from a Xbox Fanboy

Then you look at the stats.
PS3 isn't even released in the UK, Wii has just been released on 8th December then look when Xbox 360 was released.
