I'm not sure if Swiftswitch has changed since I last used it, but normally you dont need to register an account. Only on the IRC (the little text box at the bottom).

You put in a name. Any name you want. You just press join, or you read on the right and it will tell you for the channel. Normally, if you leave it blank you will have the channel listings. Its basically if you're in a clan or something, then you and your friend make a channel. You just put in your name, and put any channel like #Cheese or something, and then your friend goes and puts #cheese into the channel box, and you'll be in the same chat box. Its similar to MSN. I'm pretty sure for the channels you need the # before them. I also think that habbox has a channel.

To register your nick just type: /ns register [password] [email]
Then check your email and follow the instruction of activation...
