    This forum is like a recruiting site for the National Front these days.

    Silly really, Hinduism is one of the most fascinating and believable religious views there is.

    you can't really say it's one of the most believable religions there are because people all have different opinions and faiths.

    People, don't attack something you don't understand.

    -Muslims can eat meat
    -Muslims don't celebrate Diwali

    I'm sure more classics like those above are on their way soon.

    when you put it into perspective with modern life, it makes more rational sense than other religions, mainly monotheistic ones. is that more acceptable for one?

    I'll agree that Hinduism is definitely one of the most interesting religions to study (and I do like the study of religion, I think it's really fun sometimes), and I can actually see what you mean by it being believable, in that the gods do not claim to be omniscient, omnipresent or omnipotent, or even claim to care too much about the world. I would go into it more but I'd end up writing a full essay ^_^

    I could write a full essay about religious studies, heh.
    One of the ancient Hindu scriptures says something along the lines of;
    ''When the great one comes down he may know, or he may not know''
    I like things like that where you can build your own assumptions on it rather than have a direct belief shoved down your throat.

    What I don't get is that a lot of Muslims I know class halal meat as veggie? I thought Muslims were meant to promote peace, but Halal is a cruel way of killing an animal where you slowly drain its blood, while it dies in torture. And after its dead, you ask for forgiveness?

    It's also the oldest - and many things in our holy book have been prooved to be true. E.g. The bridge between India & Sri Lanka, which is exactly how it was described.

    We don't class 'Halal' meat as 'veggie', and the animal doesnt really suffer as you
    call it, what happens is that you say a prayer and the eyes of the animal is tied with like a cloth or somthing and you just cut the kneck n stuff, I never seen it happen like with my eyes n stuff but ive seen alot of videos of how people torture the animals i think the website was meat.org or somthing i aint sure but i know there are alot of sites... So yeah..
