Yeah just a little (Well actually big!) guide to habbo email problems. Just moans about how AOL is almost as bad as walking through Baghdad on a dark night. It's also dis's hotmail. Gmail ftw!
It's got no intresting stuff in it at all except Redtiz's clone account is lemoncrunch.
Every day I receive emails from upset and frustrated Habbos who’ve tried to get help using the Help Tool and believe that nobody cares because they’re receiving no response.
First of all, let’s put everyone’s mind at rest – you’re not being replied to because nobody cares or because Player Support have a squillion emails waiting in their inbox. Nothing could be further from the truth, there is actually NO backlog in Player Support and they are replying to EVERY contact they receive.
That’s not much comfort if you’re one of the unfortunate Habbos who’s been using the Help Tool over and over and haven’t received help. So, what could be going wrong?
There are a number of issues which stop replies getting through to you and if you work through the following possibilities you can free yourself from your mail hell.
The number one reason Habbos don’t receive a Help Tool response is because their email address was never verified. When you register a Habbo account or change your email, you’ll receive an auto-mail with a clickable link asking you to verify your address. Verifying it proves that it’s your email account which was used to register and also means that you are able to receive replies from the Help Tool and get updates and info from the Hotel Manager.
If you’re not sure whether your email address is verified or not, all you need do it log in to the Habbo homepage and click on ‘Edit your settings’. When your settings window comes up, click on the ‘Email’ tab. If your email tab looks like the one below then your email address is NOT verified and you’ll need to click on the ‘Resend Confirmation Email’ link to be sent another verification email.
If your email address is verified but you’re still not receiving email, the second most common reason is that many free email services (Hotmail, yahoo etc) take Help Tool email and put it directly into the junk mail folder. Always check your junk mail folder and if your email options contain ‘allow lists’ then it’s a good idea to enter the email addresses Habbo’s automatic systems use to contact you on; [email protected] and [email protected]. Please remember, there are no humans on the end of these email addresses so you won’t get any joy if you try emailing questions directly to them!
Let’s say your email is verified and you’ve checked your junk mail folder and put those email addresses into your allow list but you’re still not receiving Help Tool email. What then? Well the next thing to check is that you’re not using an AOL email. AOL don’t allow ANY Help Tool email through so if you choose to register your Habbo account with an AOL email address you’ll never receive Help Tool replies.
So you don’t have an AOL email address either but you’re still not getting Help Tool replies? In this case, please check to see whether your address is hotmail.com or hotmail.co.uk – both these free email services regularly put blocks on Help Tool email reaching any of their accounts. In this case, just like the AOL problem, you won’t be able to receive any Help Tool email.
If you’re reading this, and have full access to your account but have it registered to an AOL or Hotmail account, now’s the time to think about changing it! There are many email services to choose from and you can browse the following lists of FREE email services for some ideas:
Free webmail providers
Free POP3 mail providers
Free IMAP mail providers
Unfortunately if you’re already in the position where you’ve forgotten your password and your address is registered to a Hotmail or AOL email then things are more complicated. What you should do then is use the Help Tool with a different account name, either one you already own which ISN’T registered to Hotmail or AOL, or create a new one with a different email address. On the Help Tool you should put in your alternative Habbo name and email, then select the ‘I can’t check into the Hotel’ option. On the next window select the ‘None of the above’ option on the list of possible technical issues and on the next page, ignore the message box and click on the NEXT link at the bottom left. The next screen will ask if your problem is solved, you should click ‘No, I still need help’.
The final screen will have another message box where you can put in your problem for Player Support. Use that box to put the name of the Habbo account you can’t access and explain that it is registered to a Hotmail or AOL email address that’s preventing you resetting the password. Paste in your new email address and ask if you can have this registered to your blocked account. Player Support will ask you some security questions to make sure you really own that account and, if you get them right, will change your email address. When they change your email address you’ll get a verification email and, once you’ve clicked that link, hey presto…you can use the Help Tool to reset your own password again!
Good luck Habbos !
