Worst Song/Band?

Coldplay are the worst band soz.

They get a bad wrap because of their popular stuff and singles. They do have some great songs, they just arent the ones you constantly hear on the radio. They're over rated probably, but they definatly arent the worst band ever.

Good to see that a lot of people have been saying Sex Pistols are crap, because that's extremely true. It's the sort of band that say "we're true punk because we just are", it's like Towers of London (ew) and all the other spasms who think being punk means not liking anyone in power.

Plus they sound bad.

Sex pistols were THE first punk band. They were REAL.
They were rebelling against all the cr@p in england at the time.
They didnt care what people thought, they weren't doing it for show. Their manager was trying to publicise them to get money out of their tallent, it wasn't them.
Sex Pistols sound so much better than the current mainstream english music. EG: BAD techno/high-pitched voices.

Some facts for you;

The Stooges and The MC5 were playing punk in the 60s.
The Ramones were on their fourth EP by the time the Sex Pistols formed.
The New York Dolls were around a long time before the Pistols, and the Pistols future manager, Malcolm MacLaren ruined them when he was their manager.
**** Sparrer and other oi and street punk bands were around from 1975, Sex Pistols formed about 2 years later.
It is completely unpunk to be made by a manager to make money out of a fad - enter Malcolm Maclaren. It is also unpunk to fire talented members in place of better looking ones who can't play there instruments. It is extremely unpunk to be a stupid junkie, who kills their girlfriend and then kills themself.
The Sex Pistols are not punk, but if it is punk to act like they did then I am so proud to say that I'm not a punk.
For further reference read An Oral History of Punk Rock by John Robb, he's such a cool guy and he lived through it all; then listen to his band and go to their shows, coz they're such nice people and make such good music.
