They raise ducks to be slaughtered, not go to the local river.

Go suck on a brussel sprout. I eat meat because it is:

    1. Best source for nutrition.
    2. Tasty.

I do not eat meat to promote the slaughtering of animals "/ I eat meat because I can and I will "/ So, go play in a vegetable garden.

Not really, by eating meet, slaughter houses have to kill more animals to make up for demand. If you didnt want animals the be slaughtered, you just simply wouldnt eat meet.

You would think so but if they are raising lamb, rather than let it live and cost them more money to feed, they'd just kill it. Cheaper I would've thought.

yes that is what they do. They wait until it reaches a certain weight before they slaughtered it. But if they realise theres a fall in the market, the next time they get theres baby lambs in, they wont order as many, therefore not as many will be killed

Well, as it stands, vegetarians don't seem to be affecting small time farms. Although there has been a surge of numbers. Heck, my sister turned veggie because she watched babe.
