Liberty City wasn't based on New York as there were many sections to GTA 3 (3 large islands anyway). I think this looks rather good especially if they have set it up as like ACTUAL New York, like taking pictures of everywhere etc like DRIVER 3 did. That was amazingly good. I'm about to watch the trailer now.. fun fun!

Best part is that guess what it's also on apart from PS3? Xbox 360 Ooo I could imagine it being on Wii though, rofl pls.

EDIT: Watched the trailer and I'm confused.. but I think I know whats going to be the baseline for GTA4, it'll be in Liberty city again but this time it'll be a new district methinks, all built up etc. since it would've been built up by the building work taking place in GTA3. The reason they've chosen this guy is because it looks like the character doesn't want to be involved in anything but methinks he's tracked down by an agency of some sort and forced against his own will to do so.. Seems quite interesting if that was the case but then again, it's all speculation!

You may believe that but when GTA 4 was first announced they said there is going to 2 be storys, apparently the 2 storys bit is Xbox 360 exclusive though, possible downloadable content?

Downloadable Content? Never thought about that at all, I can see this having the sort of system which Oblivion has at the moment now. One word, wow. I guess RockStar games finally seen sense just seeing as Blue-ray has more space on the disk.. why does the 360 have the bigger sort of game than the PS3? LOL.
