o.0 i dont see whats wrong with encodeing somthing, people encode stuff they dont want people to copy or edit, thats there right. If they didnt have that abilty they may not releace the scripts at all, meaning these free scripts wouldnt be avaible "/
Its there choice to encode, and your choice to use, if you dont want to use somthing that has part of it encoded, use somthing else. If theres nothing else avaible, ether delete the script or stop complaining

Good point. Its just wouldn't you like to tweak something to make it fit in your site better? And if you can't do that because its encoded I would get frustrated.

Also I happen to LOVE Radio Panel V3 so im not deleting it lol.

These panels... they'll never come out. Seems that way doesn't it?

They bump the time up, get people "excited", then fail to produce.

Only three popular panels have done that so far I think?

PowerPanel, GIANTpanel and AtomicPanel (work delayed).

Since when were DJ panels Web 2.0 ? plus Web 2.0 is a whole umbrella of factors, no site can fit all of them without a few contradictions.

I personally am not in favour of encoding my PHP code, but I can understand that some people want to do it to make sure their copyright notices etc. stay and to stop people from ripping parts of it easily.

It could be quite amusing to create a Web 2.0 radio panel actually - an API, full AJAX forms and navigation, Script.aculo.us effects

    What the heck is API?

Also if PHP is opensource, why not make the scripts open source tbh...

Well... here's my reasoning for encoding some of the panel:

If you made a layout (that took you 2 months) and then someone ripped it and claimed it was theirs would you be angry?

You wouldnt code it in PHP though, and you can get their site closed down or it removed.
