Sorry to stick my head in a bit, but I have a few points. ::

    --

re Safety Sessions & Google. It's worth noting that Safety Xs are able to digest the information for Habbos. Not all Habbos are as fortunate as some visitors of this forum, and they may not be able to understand any old site they found from Google. Having the information broken up and explained in a far simpler approach is much more useful for younger (or the less technologically astute) Habbos in particular.

If a Habbo learns something they didn't know about, they are likely to ask more questions, to learn more about it. Or heck, they might do individual study and look it up on the web - they have a base grasp of it, and it's much easier for he/she to understand the lingo on the Internet.

Bare in mind that a LARGE proportion of Habbos are not aware of the sheer necessity of computer and Internet safety... and don't realise until it's too late. The sheer presence of the Safety X team highlights this necessity and importance to Habbos that are in the Hotel. A hands-on approach is far more useful than a "fire and forget" method.

Now, re prizes. A lot of Xs may feel they want to let a few Habbos win some of their personal furni. There is nothing wrong with that - it's great. However, a few people asked in the Infobus if they get anything for turning up. I explained that furni-wise, it's just not feasible. Look why:
10 Habbos per Infobus session. 3 or 4 sessions per hour = ~30-40 Habbos.
3 visits per week = ~90-120 Habbos. Giving out between 90 and 120 prizes is just not reasonable, especially when you take into account the regularity of Hotel events and the events the eXperts run.

My answer to the "what do we get" question was quite simple: "you get as much as you take from it". The more you ask, the more you learn. The more you learn, the more you take away with you. People can be quick to judge such sessions, but you need to see who it is aimed at. If you are relatively technologically astute, the Safety Sessions may not be for you - but you could always ask a question for your benefit too. Many Habbos are not aware of the dangers facing their (Windows) computer, and the dangers facing them on the Internet. It doesn't matter the number of Habbos that are included in that group. It could be thousands, it could be hundreds - but as long as some Habbos benefit, it is worthwhile.

re trust. At the end of the day, it is up to the Habbo to decide whether they are going to trust the Safety X's information or not. The Safety X team was chosen to pass on their useful stellar advice, so it would be a shame to ignore it. Habbo Xs and Safety Xs are expected not to lie as a matter of basic principle. It's rude, it's deceitful, and portrays a bad image. You don't know the person you are talking to is not going to lie. You rely on the judgement of Hotel Staff.

De-railing the thread (which is about the Safety Sessions) to debate about the structure of the Safety X team is pointless IMO.. and Aitken's right in saying it shout take place via PM. At the end of the day, these Safety Sessions are put on for the benefit of Habbos. If there is a problem (or you have a SUGGESTION) with the Safety Sessions, the Safety eXpert team or a single Safety X, use the Habbo Help Tool and the Player Support staff will pass the message on to the relevant person(s).

Now I can go and eat that chinese that smells so so so so good!!

Ryan, I know what you mean. On some crime programmes you get ex-burglars etc giving out advice.

I think hobtech needs to make a return, but isn't it owned by Callie?

Mmm it is, and when I last spoken to her which was like ages ago I think she hates Habbo now, or at least the staff. Yeah we should have a Habbo crimewatch pmsl, hosted by Merf and Lerf *grins* I'd find that rather interesting actually.. Taking notes Lerf?

I say just get a new Hobtech, owned by the Habbo X's/Safety X's. Habbo Hotel is begging for one, especially after the departure of Hobtech (although I think the 'think-help.co.uk' is starting to do things like this, despite it's down I think).

I think members of the techteam would be better.
