Doesnt go here and I dont care because you are the sort of people who know about it. Anyway, I signed up for suerte heights forum and I unchecked the box saying I wanted to be contacted by administrators yet every single day I recieve this email.

The email is my private email that I only ever use for messaging people and signing up for forums so im abit annoyed as I have recieved around 70 of these. I could add them onto my spam list but its the principal, so i emailed them saying:
'When I signed up for the suerte forums I put dont recieve emails from administrators yet I have a email everyday saying im missed on the forum and I have over 70 of these.

They replied with this:

Even though you selected the option 'Do not recieve emails from admins',
we have installed a system, that emails users if they are not active on
our boards.
When users, like yourself sign up, we expect them to remain active. As a
member of the Community Boards, you should be supporting Suerte, however
you are not. This is why we send out emails. On another note, it should
not send out every day, so we will look into that. Suerte Heights has
done nothing illegal, so please do not threaten us.

The whole point in the emails, is to get the users to come back to Suerte
Heights.

Its really annoying as there is no unsubscribe feature, Ive emailed them again and they said they wont remove me from the email list and will continue to email me till I support them.
Is there anyone I can report them to?

Yes I find forums that send thoughs very annoying, if you can add to a junk filter, if you don't have a junk filter / want to get back at them then you should report them to their web host.

Ok ill use whois to find it. Its the principal that I specifically said not to recieve emails and they wont take me off the list. How unprofessional are they?

What they are doing is infact illegal. If you have asked for no emails then you should not get any emails. Ask them to delete you account, if they refused then they are breaking the law (Data Protection Act 1998)

Or you could forward all the emails to a admins email, just to bug them

This is what I emailed them before 'You dont have a clue about the 1998 data protection act do you? If you dont certify for your email to be used for purposes other than specified then it shouldnt be used for it as its illegal.'
They just replied dont threaten us

Ozzie did email our public relations staff, and complained about the mass of emails. At no point did he ask for us to remove his account. We will now remove his account, however he will need to email us his username.
Please be aware, that we do understand the law. The problem he complained about (the mass of emails) has been sorted.

Yeh thanks im talking to him now. He has an auto system to email everyone hes offering to delete me and he says he wont remove it as its a VB hack and he says if it was illegal it wouldnt exist:rolleyes:. Hes a prat

in the spirt of being an *** hole id suggest useing whois to find the host, read there TOS, which will most likly list spamming people as a reason for account cancellation, then reporting the site.
