    Default confidence

    ever since i moved to the states in january my confidence has gone downnn.

    I feel like an idiot talking in front of people who aren't my friends and doing presentations because of my accent.

    I know if an american went to my old school in the UK theyd get the crap ripped out of them.. so it really makes me paranoid.
    I know I shouldn't care what people think etc.
    but I just can't get my confidence up.
    any advice? :}

    Naaah, its understandable that ur confidence is gunna be down. Just remember all those american idiots think brits are intresting.
    Just stand up for yourself if anyone starts anything and let them no u aint guuna take ther american bullswallops.
    Or u could just turn in to a brown noser? Bring the whole class in burgers or something?

    Or just be yourself. Your lovely, if any american idiot cant see that then just roll the fattys down a hill.

    I have always wanted to know what an american accent sounds like from anothers point of view..

    Like not just using sland but someone impersinating an american accent.

    That's just because for some reason us Brits enjoy making fun of people for being different. I'm not condemning it, I find it hilarious myself, just stating how it is lol. As for how to get your confidence up.. you've had at least 2 boyfriends since getting there I know, that's pretty good going mate.

    just remember who you are, and don't change the way you are just to benefit others, because at the end of the day people are more than likely going to be intrigued by what you're like whether its now or in the future.
    keep telling them about british foods and yeah, LOL.
