Simple sometimes works well

:eusa_danc
- 1&1 - big company, website doesn't have to impress.
- They use colours to attract - it has more than 3 boxes
- 123reg, exactly as meaning, big company - no need for fancy
- same as 1 & 3
- freezone one doesn't deserve the webspace its on.
Ok then 3 main one a banner and loads of little buttons, then the boxs in the background, then the footer
So where does the rule come in that big sites layouts can be simple and small sites canrt
EDIT: thanks for every ones feedback I've repped you all including adam but not jaffa because I gotta spread![]()
there is no rule.
there's just no need for a site that solely depends on backend workings the have a flashy site - they already have a name for themselves etc.
a small site, flashy layout - draws attention, possible customers.
promotional studies ftw.
Flashy sites actually don't bring in more customers, 9 times our of 10 there hard to navigate, customers feel uncomfortable, but on the other hand simple sites are easy to navigate and customers feel relaxed and a more likely to buy!
I see exactly were you are coming from, even if it is basics, it is based upon how effective the website is, how eye catching and aesthetically pleasing it is and that doesn't necessarily mean its has to be super complicated to the point were you become confused or uncomfortable. Less is More and More is less in some cases.
Pure and simple, dont worry about adam he complains about you making small sites then when you do a bigger one he says do a smaller ''/
the design is Ace. the colour scheme i'm not such a fan of, i think hosting sites created by habbox members appear to be slowly loosing colour and i think bright colours that go together do attract more customers while a site like that you look at the desgn think Woa. then daze off when it gets to reading something.
Love the layout. Brilliant design +rep
