Im in a small town called Folkestone, and at the army camps here we have Air Raid Sirens where thet test them each friday at 12noon. Do you mean they are faulty and wont stop going off? Or they test them reguarly?

they cant be faulty and wont stop going off. theyre wind up. (even the ones we have now. and dont say they arent because i live like 5 minutes away from and RAF base)

I love 5 minutes away from an airport but it doesn't mean I pretend to know everything that goes on there.
If an air raid siren has been going off for a long time on a Sunday then either theres some kind of event in your town or they're faulty. (And anything can be faulty
)

sometimes they use those old ones as flood alarms, you live near the coast? or a flood zone?

O how wierd. That would get on my nerves, i cant say i know what one sounds like,( Heard one on Doctor Who though) or what they look like, can any one point me in the right direction>?
