That would be a bad idea really because staff who would vote yes badly would be fired, that's the way management work, fear.

The forum itself isn't moving, it's the staff who have high jobs and just order people around, and don't seem to do anything themselves other than tell people what to do. (The owner of the site just seems to post announcements and that's all)

I think sierk is part of the problem, he allows the control freaks to ruin the site and he just goes along with it.

I haven't see any other fansite with this many management problems.

Loving it, it makes them look even more stupid by banning people whom speak the truth against them.

In a week or so they'll probably say "changes to management blah blah... etc" but it'll still be the same.

    Hi

I rarely check this forum anymore, but the title of this thread caught my eye. When I first became a member of Habbox, back in February or March of 2004, the site was tiny in comparison to today. It had around 300 odd members, and sierk had only in the previous months become responsible for running the entire site.

This forum is a new one, and if you check my date of joining and my membership number you will see just how huge this forum has grown in around 3 years. In the first six months this forum didn't even have 1000 members, and the staff here are as you say above, a group of friends that knew they could rely on one another for support here, but we still all acted in a professional manner. We worked together as a team, and to be fair with such few members and less forums, less threads and obviously less posts it was much easier for everyone to control and to moderate.

At the time this new forum was created jrh2002 was Forum Manager (The most professional Forum Manager in my opinion whilst I was staff), but as the forum grew, obviously more staff were needed. The radio was acquired in August 2004 and jrh2002 needed to devote his time to that, and so the beginning of recruiting more staff just to moderate and support an ever growing forum began. Sierk still continued as he does today to manage the entire site.

When I quit in October 2005, I think there was between 13-14 thousand members here. JackHB, properclone and Anita, who all joined Habbox at a similar time to me were still here when I left, although I can't be to sure about Anita. DJ-3000 who joined the team later created his own forum and in my opinion should he read this won't mind me saying that he could not of coped with this forum and his own new one.

This forum hasn't stopped growing, it still attracts new members, and you above are all apart of this forum. It's not just the staff that make this forum work, it's the members too. So just stop and think for a moment how hard it must be to manage such a huge site, if you were Manager of this site, could you possibly look at every single thread and post that is created? No you couldn't. There are always going to be changes on a site this huge, sometimes you might not approve whilst other times you will.

One person has remained here all the time, right from the start, sierk, that is what I call real dedication. If sierk decided he had, had enough, and closed this forum and the site where would you go to complain then?

This site may not be official, but it's certainly the biggest Habbo fansite to my knowledge, so instead of knocking it, perhaps members should be thinking of ways on how to help improve what they feel is wrong, rather than create a thread like this one, that quite honestly just shows that some members are unhappy and yet they still visit the forum
It's the quality of your posts that count, not the quantity!

Okay im not gunna compete with that..

    BUT HERES MY STORY LOLS

I think its like NEARLY 3 years since i first tuned into DJ mizki on habboxradiooooo *god i still hear that voice LOL* - sorry hyper

Well, at the time, staff got on really well - there was a wide variety of staff at the time, as by the time i had come bouncing along on Steph=04= the forum had had time to grow. At that time habbox was official.

However, i was unfortunate enough to experience and see the whole "anti-habbox" charade that started - after habbox became unofficial. Wasnt much good - and we had a lot of staff resigning due to "hiccups."

Throughout my time on this site ive went from noob - to hxhd staff - to moderator - to comps manager - to dj - to radio assistant manager - i did at one time try a room review trial but didnt get past the first week cos i didnt think i was good enough

But if i was to give a true honest opinion to your question - id say no.
The site / forum has not gone "downhill" i just see that it has changed - and a great lot too. Everything changes, somethings for the worse, but this site definatley has not - it has only improved and just got better and bigger and a whole lot more interesting!

The amount of talent that is on this forum is amazing. When i look at articles i see mini journalists developing their skills the best way they know how. I see future radio DJs developing their skills, making great shows come our way, and entertaining a whole community. I see competition staff practising their creativity and their imagination.

I dont just see a website or a forum, i see a huge community of all different kinds of ages, backgrounds, interests, all doing the same thing. Developing, improving and growing up. Preparing themselves for the big wide world out there, and they were all there for each other, giving each other support.

This isnt just a forum, and it most certainly is not going downhill.
This is just one car, part of a huge rollercoaster, because thats exactly what life is.

That's what you think. Sierk does a lot more than that I can assure you.

Management (like in most cases) are doing their work behind the scenes. Discussing things with other managers, dealing with problems etc. Announcement is the very last part of the long process of decision making. Just because you don't see exactly what happens behind the scenes, does not mean people are doing nothing, just sitting on their chair staring at the screen or watching TV all day .

Compaired to when I began to visit Habbox is 2005/2006 yes it has. Not the forum as such but the site it self. Although I still think it is a very popular site and does get alot of people visiting per day.
