If brain dont work. it dont have mental states. hence brain isnt feeling pain or anything else, as that feeling is what mental states are, and brain has to be alive for it to have them.

    Comprendy?

I understand what your saying, but thiers other ways to think about it.
And personally i just think that killing an animal for us to eat is just out of pure selfishness, especially when thier are other alternatives to meat.

edit: this is off topic and more about psychology/anthropology/sociology or something, so leave this point for now. Question it in a new thread if you really must.

I love the new Big Brother house...

On a more ontopic note, there is no REAL substitute for the vitamins etc etc that we get from meat. Quorn doesn't offer you that much, just the taste and texture really. Plus its artificial, which means its going to be worse for you. I would stick to meat thanks.

only thing that is hard to get without meat is vitamin b12 which isn't needed barely anytime anyway, as the more you consume the less is used

Vegetables arent really a substitute for meat, as they are two completley different things. You eat vegetables with meat. So if you replace meat with more vegetables....thats not replacing meat or a substitute for it...thats extra helpings. A substitute is something that can replicate what its replacing. So no, Vegetables arent a substitute or an alternative to meat.

Or possibly think out of the box and not eat meat?

    Good lord.. :eusa_wall

Eat meat if you like but seriously.. think abit harder next time what you're saying, vegetables are vegetables, meat is meat, you can eat both or just vegetables, eating just meat isn't very healthy unless you ate it raw and ate the bones/organs etc too which many people don't do.
