I guess you may have a point about assumptions, after all, I assumed that there might be some intelligent responses from the anti-KFC side of the forum, and I was wrong.

The guy is against torture and not the killing, we are top of the food chain and we eat meat simple, but in order to get that meat can be quick and plainless for the animal instead of a painful way, such as if someone might ask u, would u prefer to die from jumping out of a building or being burnt to death? u'd go for the quick painless death and so why not for a chicken aswell?
