yeah like jord said, there are two kinda types of indie, the propper one is the propper music definition for it, it all came around the brit-pop era (I did a presentation in Music last week on this, rofl) and then there is a nother say, definition arising for the 'indie' culture upcoming, so to speak.

but to vicky, the thread starter, i'd say bands like bloc party & klaxons are indie, how you're on about it.

'How you're on about it' bit was refferring to SS being indie, and what bands you'd class as indie, but maybe arn't actually..
