I did AQA Higher. I thought the question 1 a and b were weird, and I found myself repeating a lot of what I had already said. I did question 3 in section 2.

Yeah, I found 1a and b pretty iffy. I didn't realise there were two sides to the BBC article until I had written a fair amount :x bloomin' carphone warehouse advert was covering it.

i did aqa higher, and i thought it was so easier. i really have not seen an easy paper during my mocks & everything.
i did question 5 section b, the money one. i'm yet to find someone else who did it LOL. i just truned it into a joke like, i pretended to be some old owman who had found out this boy had inherited some money & then i like, told him he should buy the bowls club new t-shirts since he was such a little annoyance.

    AQA higher.

It was probably the easiest higher english paper one paper I've seen throughout all my two years of GCSEs. (Past papers etc)

The subject (smoking and mobile phones) was an easy-to-write about subject.

It was suprising that they used a website as a media source though; that's never been done before.

The questions were easy too, language was probably the hardest, but 8 marks for comparing use of pictures and layout -- EASY.

I did the arguement for/against banning phones in school.
I argued for it, because I knew that the majority of people would choose the argue question, and would choose their own opinion, so I decided to be controversial to give the examiner a change.

I found it generally easy, but I find English easy anyway. I was looking forward to this exam because I like writing, I'm looking forward to thursdays more though... DESCRIPTIVE WRITING

Don't worry about it. Yes the poetry is hard just try to remember to compare, just as you were comparing the two media pieces today.

Descriptive writing is easy, choose the descriptive question.
Do NOT write about something that is REAL.
If you write about something that is real, you can only say a limited amount of things, whereas if you make something up... you can say lots.

    I.E
Describe the room you are in... describe it as a forest full of pixies, not a hall with chairs and tables.

Describe yourself... instead of scrawny tall mousy haired, personify an object into yourself, I described myself as a dead tree in my mock and got an A*

Describe a Hobby... MAKE ONE UP! Leaf eating, tree hugging, turning into an animal would be good, instead of football computers drama.

That's the only advice I can give
