Mages don't twink well at 19, Rogue, Warrior and hunter are the ones that do. Mages don't have enough powers to defend themselves at that level imo.

when levelling i used to love staying at like 19 and 29 for quite a while just because pvp was easy (BG's anyway).

Get a better ring/cloak/boots/belt/gloves for the ring get a (http://tb20.thottbot.com/i4998) for the cloak (http://tb20.thottbot.com/i2059) or less expensive option (http://tb20.thottbot.com/i12979) , for the boots get (http://www.thottbot.com/i1121) , For the belt get a (http://tb20.thottbot.com/i6468) belt costs around 20g and for the gloves depends if you want stats or extra dmg I used some whelp gloves they gave a chance to do an extra 15-25 damage on a successful melee attack.
