It was ages ago when I did but what I did was run as close as I could to the temple wall, I think the monkey archer turns from time to time (i think I cannot remember very well as it was over a year ago)

You should fly through the quest I don't think I had 43 prayer when I did it.

luckly at the end demon I was running around the square lol and it got cought on the corner so me and the midgets killed it slowly with 20 range
