the tolcofane, what do you think they are? here are some theories of mine about these new creatures:

The inhabitants of Rose Tylers world: The Master said it would break the doctors hearts. Maybe The Master created the paradox machine and opened the void into the doctors world after something had transformed everyone in Roses world?

Cybermen and Daleks combined: Well, on the last episode of the previous series the cybermen offered to work with the Daleks. Maybe they have combined technology to make some sort of.. Cyber dalek?

Timelords: Maybe they are the spirit of Timelords saved from the time war? Maybe the timelords knew both races were going to be destroyed and saved a few timelords in those balls (maybe they are void ships with bigger insides like the TARDIS) and sent them into the void to be saved in hopes it would open?

Some sort of body snatchers: Now I read this one on another forum, exactly 6 billion toclofane and exactly 6 billion humans
could they be wanting to steal their bodies?

cant wait till nexts weeks episode maybe they might end it on a cliff hanger and we will have to found out wot happens next season cos i heard he does die half way through a season best not make it to be continued

Right, Not sure whether this has been answered before as i didnt see the first few epsiodes of season 1, or whether im just being silly. But.. If he can go back in time why doesnt he go back to before the war between the "Timelords" and the "Darleks" and do something not sure what but he could warn them about what was to happen or somert. Anyway just a thought Cant wait for next weeks eppy.

Basically the Daleks blocked him going back that far. They blocked him going back and changing things
