its just dumb. like 60% of my friends like rock and metal. my best friend likes rock but none of them say **** about other music. so it just winds me up.

I agree. music is all perception, really. things about people and music that get on my nerves:

- when people say music is their life [shut up, no it's not]
- when people argue about what genre something is
- when people claim old music is better than new music

1. Agreed, it's some emo myspace thing that fills space.
2. Yes, only iTunes can decide. Exept if emo is saying their punk. then i get defensive.
3. I think if you get a good song in the past, it will always remain good. Like in 2050 people will be like BLOC PARTY I WUV Ux

emo is punk.
it was started by a bunch of people from the DC hardcore scene. ian mackaye of minor threat (whose complete discography album has been voted the best punk album of all time) was in several emo bands. just alot of people have a distorted view that a bunch of eyeliner pop-punk bands are emo.
