    Default Off to Slovenia!

Righty ho, I am off to Slovenia as of tomorrow (11am ish) till Saturday evening sometime.

When I get back, I'll give a report on it. I didn't even know it existed until the Eurovision, and when the tickets were booked I'll even put up photos of the trip showing some of the scenery and whatever is famous there. So, I guess you could use this as a discussion about Slovenia

Have a nice week. It'll be fun to see what has happened in the UK in about 6 days

    Peace out.

Oo, I'm actually from Slovenia where excatly did you go? Ljubljana? Koper? or all over Slovenia o.o since we are like uber small you could easily visit whole country. I'm glad we're getting more and more tourists lately and people will actually know where Slovenia even is. Bet our language confuses you but have fun and enjoy it, it's beautiful country.

Kinda off topic, but is 'Anze Kopitar' a big idol in your country? Or do you have no idea who the hell he is? Just curious.

Of course he's a big idol for people that like hockey but yeah I know who Anže
is, he is pretty famous here. I mean people that watch sports would know who he is for sure.

Ah okay thanks, just wondering cause he was the 1st slovenian born hockey player to make it to the NHL, so I was thinking that if he was so big in Slovenia that it might inspire more people to try hockey or something.

I'm sure he did..it's great achievement for such a small country. I'm personally more into basketball and I was really pleased when first slovenian basketball player got into NBA. We got quiet few there now..like Nesterovič (playing at Toronto raptors atm I think), Brezec (playing for Charlotte's), Udrih (playing in Spurs). I don't know that much about hockey tho ^^ Anže was a lot on the sport news tho awhile ago.

I'm amazed this thread has comments

I went to Bled and stayed around Lake Bled most the time. It is extremely beautiful and the weather is more random than England. It was warm in Ljubljana and when we got to Bled it slowly started to rain, but that's not random, I got side tracked. A few days in it was really warm and when we were off to River Raft, it started raining THEN started hailing. Very odd weather there, but really nice when it was sunny.

Me and Mentor/Carl found a few magazines in the airport when we were departing and we read about Slovenia and found it very interesting. The airport news and the Renault Twingo were the ones that stuck out.

Anyway, I recommend it. It's peaceful, calm, quiet and un-touched in a way. I personally find it better than hell whole Britain. The pools have bands which collect how much money you;ve spent so you pay it back at the end and food and drink is about the same price and cheaper in some cases.

The language is realyl weird, I was of the opinion it was a French/German/Italian hybrid language, not a unique one All I remember is Hvala!
