You should pay for them. You missed them and it's not fair on the school as your school's paid for them in the first place with the intention of you sitting the exam.

Also sick with nerves isn't really that much of a reason to miss an exam. I have friends who need to take tablets to calm down during exams and who have to be put in special rooms on their own in case they vomit or faint which they usually do. They still managed to drag themselves to their exams and come out with decent grades in most subjects.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that you have to pay and I wouldn't want it to happen to me but you knew that missing the exams would result in you having to pay for them. At least this way you can question whether the days off were worth failing GCSEs and next time you're ill you'll think again about missing anything (school or otherwise).

Totally agree. YOU never turned up to the exams, therefore YOU have to pay the bill. Why should your school pay money for you when you don't even turn up. That money should of been spent on books and equipment. Nerves? I suffer with nerves also, but I also turned up to the exams. A freind of mine even sits at the edge of the hall, incase she needs to get out.

Did your parents sign anything though? I'm sure you have to be 18 before anything like contracts mean anything.

everyone has nerves for exams n there are little tablets you can take that get you over them, so i dont think you can put it down to nerves. if so then how are you ever gonner do anything? you think exams are stressful then GOD HELP you on your driving test, because that's 100x stressful. what about your first job interview?

personally i'd put it down to bone-idleness thus meaning you should pay all of that money back; afterall the school have paid the money and aren't getting anything back in return as you achieving 10 U grades has done nothing for the school's statistics, so they may aswell get their money back at least (personally i'd claim for all the teaching time you've had as well)
    Hello
