When you send your sorry for sounding arrogant or whatever - to be honest you really are...

Why should your parents spend a large amount of their hard earned money on something for you when your out getting yourself into bother which also effects them? Maybe if you did some stuff to earn it and actually be appreciated then you wouldn't even be in this and would have gotten it no problem.

Think of it this way... Say it was your £500 or whatever and you had planned on buying your child something. Think then, they then let you down and disappoint you greatly... do you reward your child for doing so by giving them hat they want or make them learn the hard way and not?

I think it's obvious your parents are simply using the laptop here to make it clear to you the consequences of your actions in future - and I completely agree with what they are doing and hope they hold out on it.

The fact you say you would "kill yourself for the laptop" isn't very promising to begin with. I think you really do not appreciate the important things in life and if you honestly, hand-on-heart, believe that killing yourself just because you do not get your own way is going to achieve anything - then you really aren't going to get far in life.

I think you need to just come to terms with the fact you are rightfully being punished for something you done wrong and get over it. Rather than sulking about it and ultimately make the situation worse, try and help out more and keep yourself out of bother. If you start acting a bit more maturely and responsibly I'm sure your parents will recognise that and reward it.

I think you really should just keep good and behave and you'll then have the laptop in a couple of months, rather than acting up again and effectively having to wait even longer.

I did not write a load of "negative thoughts". I told you the truth, and unfortunately the truth can hurt sometimes.

Your their son - so what? When you have a child you promise to love, care for and look after them. That means they will make sure you are fed, watered, kept warm etc. No where does a laptop come into anything as it is completely materialistic and in no way a necessity.

Your post is basically "I stole and did stuff wrong so I can no longer get what I want - what can I do to get my own way?"

I did not express anything negative, I simply gave you my opinion - that I feel rather than wasting more time sulking over not getting your own way you should try and improve upon the matter by making amends and settling with the fact they are willing to buy you it at all.

Sorry if you didn't like what I had to say but when it comes down to it, it's simply the harsh truth of the matter.

the people posting are only trying to help. there's no need to be rude and bratty about it. so you want a laptop so badly? get a job. earn the money yourself, and see how it feels. imagine the workload your parents have to go through to simply get what you want. too young to get a job? well that's too bad then. if they say they're getting it for you during christmas, then so be it! just wait. your patience will pay off soon.
