Well, with that theory we're racist to people even the same as us. I would say you could think someone was stupid without having to think about their colour. We form an opinion on anything, the more modern term of racist is basically just showing that your racist to other people. But thats an idea. The media is what effects us mostly to be racist. If you were living as a cave man and had never seen an african person before you would probably assume they were an alien. The media puts a bad image on foriegners from other countries all the time. I went to live in Germany for 6 months 2 years ago when I was in year 7 and always on the news there was stuff about happening in england and how stupid we were. They even go as far as to show the avarage iq levels of the british population to show how clever they were compared to us.

It just goes to show it's only because we know that other races exist. If you are a beliver then God never invented TV or the internet. S/he didn't invent newspapers either so s/he obviously didn't intended us to be flying from country to country in a matter of hours.

no you can't. i dont know how it works in your country, but if you're arrested for being racist, that's oppression. like it or not, it's freedom of speech.

If you racialy abuse someone by shouting at them 'YOU *Text Removed* *****' or 'YOU WHITE TURD' then that is illegal. A public official saying 'Black people are less hard working than white people' is probably illegal too.

I think people are inherently subconsciously racist anyway. Humans instinctively don't like what they don't understand or what's different. You judge someone as soon as you look at them, the big thing is whether you act on your judgement or not. Though I do think it ironic to proclaim ourselves as advanced if people are still acting like cavemen.

Anybody studying/studied black civil rights in America in the 20th century? That's enough to make you intolerant towards any racism. A few years ago I'd sort of accept racism. I'd disagree with it, but accept it nonetheless. Now I don't have any time for it. It's complete ignorance to be honest, and it has to be stamped out through lack of toleration. I know some pensioners are racist because they're "not used to it" (it being multiculturalism), and they believe that immigration has led to the worsening of society, but you just can't tar everyone with the same brush.

You live in an extremely poor country where you're a devoted husband and a father of two (for example). Lack of work/pay means your family is drinking contaminated water and going without sufficient food. You make the sacrifice of leaving your family to go to a foreign country indefinitely, simply to allow them to live a semi-normal life. You arrive in this country, get round the language barrier and manage to get yourself a job. You get up in the morning, go to work, get home, go to bed, and repeat this process pretty much every day of the week. You then get old toffs looking at you like your dog dirt and mindless drunks telling you to "go home".

Just think about that instead of presuming that everyone who enters this country does so illegally and procedes to detinate a bomb in the middle of a city.

That is the working immigrants, the majority don't work and just sponge off us, so overall we'd be better off if there was never any immigration.
