but seriously, even if a 13 hour flight is on AP you've gotta go back and check it every half hour or so, so basically you cant really do anything on that day.

None taken. If flying on vatsim it is advised to be at the flight deck at all times unless you have permission to leave etc. But year doing 13 hours flights will need that person for the whole day.
